Our backyard feeder is still busy with goldfinches (12+), juncoes (6), Pine Siskins (2) and the odd Purple Finch. At least one of the male goldfinches is almost in breeding plumage. For the past six years, I’ve had the same Black-capped Chickadee with a white head coming to my cottage feeder. I have to assume that it’s the same bird. Now that seems old for a chickadee! Location: Chemong Lake Observer: Janet Flinn
