– Comments: “4 flying over with 2 KILL, then came down to south pond searching for a place to land, circled low over ponds several times, could not find a landing spot, then flew west toward river; at closest approach, probably only 30 m away from me; underwings pale (grayish), with no black axillars, superciliary quite evident, wing coverts, mantle, tail uniformly grayish-brown, underparts paler grayish”

Note: Golden-plovers are an uncommon migrant in the Kawarthas. D.M.
