A Great Gray Owl was in our area for a few days last week, just northwest of Little Britain. The Snowy Owl has been on the same hydro pole every morning for the last two weeks on Opmar Road, east of Little Britain. I am collecting the pellets for the MNR. In a column you mentioned the abundance of Snow Buntings this year and I agree they are here in large numbers. While ice fishing on Lake Simcoe last week a large flock landed and we were several miles from shore. Another bird that I am seeing more of this year is the Northern Shrike.
