Eastern Towhee - Karl Egressy

Eastern Towhee – Karl Egressy

From at least 5 until 6:30 pm today I had a male Eastern Towhee here in the backyard. It emerged on and off from a patch of trees where I don`t rake the leaves and was foraging for bird seed on the ground. I had never seen one before, but I knew what it was as soon as I saw it. I photographed the bird using the 400 mm lens with 2x converter. It magnifies very nicely at about 25x at 6400 ISO, a setting I use all the time. Beautiful bird!
